Counselling for adults

Our counsellors provide a professional, confidential space for you to explore your concerns.

Counselling is a talking therapy that allows you to talk about your problems and feelings in a confidential and safe environment. Counsellors are trained to deal with all kinds of concerns, including family, relationships, stress, anxiety, anger, bereavement and more. In fact, there is no limit to the issues you can talk about.

If you are over 19 the first step to getting support is to fill out a referral form. You, your doctor, or even your employer can complete the form, with your permission. If you are under 19 find out about our FREE counselling service

What's available?

You can choose between three types of support, from £10 per session. We offer these different levels to suit all budgets and to support trainee counsellors.

Counselling for £10 per session:

Support from a volunteer counsellor who is in the final stage of their counselling diploma training. These counsellors are not paid for the service they provide, but provide the service to gain the experience they need to complete their accreditation. They work under supervision. The £10 fee covers administration and staff support costs only.

Counselling for £30 per session:

Support from a counsellor who has a minimum Level 4 professional certification and at least two years of experience.

Counselling for £45 per session:

Support from a counsellor who has a minimum Level 5 or equivalent certification, full BACP Accreditation and has been trained in more than one therapeutic model with a minimum of five years experience or 1,000 counselling hours.

How to apply

If you would like to book a session please start by filling out a referral form. You can refer yourself or ask someone to help you. A doctor or other agency can also refer you.

Once we receive a referral form we will contact you to make arrangements for you to meet one of our team for an initial assessment.

During the assessment you will talk to a qualified and experienced counselling co-ordinator who will answer any questions that you have and explain how we work. After your assessment you will be placed on a waiting list while a counselling co-ordinator arranges the right counsellor for you.

If you would like to know more about our services before completing a referral form, please get in touch.
